COVID-19 Safe

The safety of the people we support, their families and our staff has always been our highest priority. Here is how we keep everyone protected.

COVID-19Safe

Our Commitment to Safety

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, Ophrah Oak Care has maintained rigorous infection prevention and control measures across all our services. We follow the latest guidance from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the Department of Health and Social Care.

Our approach is built on transparency, consistency and care. We keep our practices up to date as guidance evolves, and we communicate openly with the people we support and their families about the steps we are taking.

Our Safety Measures

A comprehensive set of protocols that protect everyone involved in our care services.

Regular Testing

All staff are tested regularly in line with current government guidance to help identify and manage any risk of transmission quickly and effectively.

PPE for All Staff

We provide appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to all our care workers, including masks, gloves, aprons and hand sanitiser, for every visit and interaction.

Vaccination Programme

We actively encourage and support all staff to receive COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters, in line with NHS and government recommendations.

Infection Control Training

All staff receive regular infection prevention and control training, covering hand hygiene, safe donning and doffing of PPE, and outbreak management procedures.

Risk Assessments

We carry out individual risk assessments for every person we support, taking into account their specific vulnerabilities and circumstances to tailor our protective measures accordingly.

Outbreak Management

We have clear, tested protocols in place to respond swiftly to any suspected or confirmed cases, including isolation procedures, enhanced cleaning and immediate notification to relevant authorities.

Following the Latest Guidance

Our infection prevention and control policies are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect the latest official guidance. We work closely with local health authorities and follow all directives from the CQC, UKHSA and NHS England.

If you have any concerns or questions about our COVID-19 safety measures, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always happy to discuss our approach and provide reassurance to families and referrers.
